Focused on the data

For decades, climate change, sprawl, traffic, homelessness, and quality of life have gotten worse while the Houghton Community Council has prevented progress.

If elected, I will work to encourage the city to:

1. Reduce traffic congestion by improving our infrastructure so people who can walk, bus, or bike will. While also ensuring that people who have to drive still can.

2. Improve safety in our community by encouraging pedestrian-oriented development, especially by fully expanding the sidewalk network.

3. Grow our economy by encouraging more small business startups by letting people build non-nuisance businesses in their homes.

4. Require new development to be all-electric to reduce our per capita greenhouse emissions and reduce the likelihood of future generations developing health problems.
